When you take up the challenge of writing everyday, you have to read up to get ideas. Or you have to be mindful of what you do so that you view your experiences with a new eye. This could at many times become your muse. For me, the second option works sometimes, but I always prefer to read to get my pen working.

Anyway, today’s topic is something that describes a part of me. It means a person who doesn’t like ending, so they prolong the final moments of a story, a relationship or any ending for that matter. While this could be common to many, I sometimes struggle with it. Even as a child when it was time for guests to leave, I would hate it. I used to secretly wish they extend their stay. And to my little mind, this extension would mean eternity.

I’m a very emotional person though I don’t exhibit it much in public. I find it extremely hard to bid farewell to friends and places. With relationships, it’s worse. The flip side is, in order to avoid the ordeal of saying goodbye, I sometimes continue in toxic friendships because I somehow cannot bring myself to end it on my own. The toxicity doesn’t bother me as much as the thought of ending it does. In the end all I’m left with is pain. Can this be altered? I don’t know. Because I’ve never tried.

What kind of a person are you? Are you finifugal too? Hop on to my boat then; maybe we could share some notes.
